Desert Ramblers

Last weekend, I spent the entire day out deep into the desert. After a trip to the Camel Racing Club and a late lunch at a Farm, I was heading back to the City.

A few minutes into the hour long return journey, the sun was getting ready to set, and while on the lonely road, I kept glancing out at the sky. Driving at a speed of approximately 100-120 kms, I had to screech my brakes when I saw this endearing sight!

I had less than a minute to pull out my camera and shoot before they passed by. I got a total of 14 shots. Here are a few:

I think I like the first shot the best - just the position of the sun! Glad you stopped, though, so you could share with us!

Well, if you hadn't mentioned camel racing already, I'd have wondered which desert you're in. Great shots! Not everyone has such an opportunity.

Wonderful to see something so completely outside my experience.
Not surprising you stomped on the brakes. 120 KPH???

Very good timing in the first shot.
The camel seems to be carrying the Sun on its back.

Hi Celine! Sorry for the absence…
120km/h that's not so fast in the desert roads... ;)
Wonderful shots!!

Well, it seems that Egypt is becoming a risky place to visit these days. So, let’s move and get to the other side of the Mediterranean: Côte d’Azur... Enjoy and have a great weekend!
