A few memories, sentiments and tales of my travels mainly in India, an attempt at photography, and at times, some reflections on other topics.

Ostensibly Orchha
Some scenes shot while walking on the streets of Orchha. My next travel post shall be on Orchha, a medieval town along the Betwa River that was chosen by the Bundela Chief, Raja Rudra Pratap Singh (1501-1532), as his capital.
Hi Celine! Sorry for the speedy visit! I’ve been busy the whole last week and will be out in the next, so this is far less than your blog deserves… ;(( But I promise I’ll come back with more time after June 10th, at least… Anyhow, Orchha looks quite interesting! To avoid leaving you deserted, I published a last post on Marrakesh 2006 at Blogtrotter. Enjoy!
I love the picture of the spices and the old guy towards the end.
Although your landscapes are great, I think you have a really good eye and attitude for portraits, which is rare. People must trust you, they always look so true in your pictures... Love it!
Not spices, it is sindoor, the powder worn by certain Indian women on their forehead, and across their hair parting as a symbol of being a married woman.
I am glad you liked these pictures and thank you for your nice comments.:)
Thanks. The post I am currently writing is turning out pretty long and it shall be out shortly. Not really teasing, but been busy at work, so those smaller posts are churned out in between.;)
That picture. Hmm. Can you believe it's the market place of an evening in Orchha?:)

My favorite pic is the one with the sadhu in orange robes and a guy walking in opposite direction on tiled floor. Great caputre Cellu!
