A Walk in the Clouds

I wake up, stretch and yawn
Wonder how this day did dawn
Out of the strange bed I leap
Through the curtain out I peep

No visibility, nothing much seen
Quite an expected dull scene
Everything around is a blur
But I will not let this deter

A new day, new place, I soar
In no time I'm ready for outdoor
As I hear the morning bells chime
I wish to walk, run, and also climb

Delhi today enveloped in mist
Feel great wading through its midst
Shades of white, gray and pastel
I sense as if cast in a magic spell

Through meadows and garden
By the grounds of Pragati Maidan
Along the still solid old red fort
A symbol of bygone day's forte

To the Parliament and India Gate
And the Raj Path that's so straight
The complex where Presidents dwell
With kids at Akshardam temple as well

Just like the day's peeping sunlight
With joy and peace in my heart
I take delight on this cold misty day
So does my camera clicking away

It doesn't look cold, I was about to comment on the warm feeling of the pictures! Looks dusty and foggy though... reminds me of China.

Oh, I'd love to visit India! Glad your camera clicked, I get to enjoy a private tour at least ;)

Thank you for the honour. It's mighty sweet of you Lakshmi.

I know these pictures aren't great yet could not resist posting them.

The joy was in shooting them through the fog. :)

I like to hear you talk about your interest in India. It must be like how I long to visit China.

As I said these pictures haven't turnd out as well as I'd have liked because of the fog but I hope my bit of poetry compensates that. I hope you visit again to check out better pictures of other places that I shall be posting soon. :)

What a nice descriptive poem of the sites you've seen and your camera capturing a photo diary.

As I wrote earlier at ghumakkar that I am pretty impressed by the wonderful photographer you are. And your poem is amazing too.

I have a feeling, which is becoming stronger after seeing the photos too, that this poem was a tribute to 59th republic day.

Beautiful photographs of MP, TAJ and in-fact all. Please keep it up.

Thank you for the generous compliments, and especially to your reference to Republic Day. That was good! And to think that I was hesitating to post these pictures..

My MP experience has been much more than what the pictures convey and there are more pictures to publish. I hope you'll drop in to check out my subsequent posts. :)
