Sun-Earth Connection

~~~
Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania
Picture shot from Monongahela Incline
Picture shot from Fagan Overlook
While on top of the Mount Washington, I waited long enough to watch the play of sun and the shadows it cast over Pittsburgh through the remainder of the evening. I am always fascinated about the profound interconnection between the Sun and the Earth.
The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes
but in having new eyes.
~ Marcel Proust
I agree with my fellow Canadian. The quote from Proust is indeed perfect with these pictures... "new eyes"! Thank you for waiting for the light to change the look of the city. Wonderful.
Hmm. The second shadow shot I've seen this week featuring Pittsburgh - a city I spent 4 years in and that is very close to my heart. Lovely.
And I adore your masthead picture. Cheers.
