SWF: Sigh of Contentment

During a stroll one evening as the sun was getting ready to set, I reach this place of justice...
A local woman in her traditional garb poses before it...
A bunch of school kids and a lone bird flying high up...
A little further away another gate is open...
Men in khaki stroll under blossom filled trees...
Pardon me while I sigh in contentment at memories of a pleasant and peaceful evening.

Oh I love the pink building. Which part of India is this?

Ewok,
It's the High Court of Karnataka, located in Bangalore.

Xavi,
Thanks Xavi. Your comment just came through as I was typing out a reply to Ewok.

i just love these old buildings... when i walk by the bombay univ building or the high court, or even when i am at VT station, just cant help stopping and staring at the beauty..... and am pushed by people wondering why i am blocking their way!!!!

Celine: What a nice series of sky captures at the courthouse.

For all the serenity outside the High Court, I can only imagine how raw emotions within must be.

I always wonder that for years and decades, and maybe, centuries it has witnessed millions of faces--of newer and newer generations, and maybe, of a few who appeared and reappeared for years and decades too--and sponged out essence of both crimes and punishments--some expressed, some suppressed and, perhaps, a few ignored--and shared moments of its solitude with renewable company of sun, moon, stars, rain, dews, trees and birds...
Those who have lived by its muted presence might not have noticed of the fact that it too has lived and lived through more meaningfully...
I consider it to be a touching tribute...

Do all schoolkids wear uniform? Just curious!
