Beautiful pics! Its been ages since I visited Mahabaleshwar.... did u know that the Venna lake is formed by the Veni river which later joins the Krishna... at the confluence, it is called the "Krishnaveni", something I was very interested to hear... since the family name I was given was "Krishnaveni"- the name of my great grandmother! Interesting, isnt it???
It is interesting indeed Anu. Next time I reach there, I'll go in search of the Veni River.:)
I have some photographs of the River Krishna though flowing in the depths of the valley as viewed from the heights of some of the popular points in Mahabaleshwar. Fabulous views there!

Never been to Mahabaleshwar...always wanted to be there :)
What a beauty! I am waiting for the next Friday, when I take a short break!
Looks like a beautiful, lush area. Love the framing of the bottom photo - the greens and purples are vibrant.
looks like the cloud is ready to kiss the ground. very nice.
Lovely, mystical looking captures! Love the rich colors and, yes, the sky reaching to kiss the earth! Exquisite! Have a lovely weekend!

Well, so is the scenery under the cloud, but I started with the sky.
