I've picked out some of my favorite images of this trip to post here. Which one/ones do you like best?
If my visa is issued in the next few days, I shall be leaving on another small trip for a few days. More in next post. As my travels mean an 'internet-less' time, in case I do not get a chance to do so later, let me take this opportunity, my dear friends, to wish you greetings of this lovely season.
To those who celebrate, a very Merry Christmas.
Cheers!

Celine,
That is a hard question to answer when all your pictures are great.
If I have to pick one, then I would pick the first one where the kids are playing cricket. That is quintessential India - folks playing cricket in all kinds of neighborhoods.
Surprise!
Been a long long time. Still you continue to amaze me with your travels. Great snaps
Santa wishes you a merry Christmas. Stay happy. Keep traveling :)
My pick is nos. 3, 8 & 10.
Great snaps and looking fwd to more.
Wish you also a Mary Christmas and a Happy New Year. Me too going out. :)
welcome back and it was great talking to u..met priyank yesterday and was telling him that it would have been wonderful if we had met..:)
As for pics , I think my fav is the elephant followed by the goats..but I love all of them :)
Vamsee,
I agree to your remark about cricket being a quintessential part of India. Thank you for your compliments on the pictures.:)
Tejas,
Hey there! This is a surprise indeed! You surfaced out of the blue! How are you sweet one? I'll email you.:)
Thank you for your visit, your nice words and good wishes.
Cuckoo,
Thank you. Glad you liked these pictures. Someday shall write a bit on these places and that time will post more pictures.
Thanks for your good wishes and enjoy your travels.:)
Lakshmi,
Thank you.:)
Priyank had informed me about his trip to Bangalore and now it's lovely to know that you both met. I shall meet up on my next visit.
Hey Celine - long time no see :-) How are you? All of them are very nice shots - I liked #1 & 7 the most...Keep Clicking!
Ananda,
Thanks for dropping by and your appreciation of the images, and encouragement.
Good to hear from you..after ages! I shall presume it's a sign of all's well at your end. As for me, I'm fine, thanks. Start blogging Nanda.:)
Merry Christmas!
I wish you good luck in the coming New Year and many happy travels.
Beautiful pics. And you know, it's not fair - the Christmas star flower in pic 6 (I have to look up the English name, but that’s what we call that read flower) is growing as a tree in your neck of the woods and I had to pamper the darn thing (and sometimes holler at it) all year just so it wouldn’t die. The result: 2 tiny red flowers just showed up.
Do I wish you Merry Christmas or just a wonderful Holiday? In any case, have a relaxing time between the years!
Lovely,serene shots!
Have a good trip!Merry Christmas,ho ho ho :)
Hi Celine! Sorry for the absence, but these last weeks were a nightmare. Just dropped by to wish you a great season! Hope to be back before 2009... ;)
Meanwhile Blogtrotter is starting its new adventure in India. Enjoy and have a great week!
All the photos are lovely but my favorites are the first and the last photo.
And a merry christmas to you too!
PS. Hope you wont mind me blogrolling you. :)
All of them are great, but the Cricket on the Beach is hands-down the best! That one is fantastic with the boats in the background.
I like the coffee plantation pic and the second one :) Great blog you have :)
I'm blogrolling you :)
dats a lot of places for one month! awesome!
Loved "T. Shettigiri Tea Estates, South Coorg"
By looking at the picture I could feel the breezy ambiance, which may not be at all true. Was it ?
A great collection of pictures, the sunset picture is just amazing.
You have a wonderful weekend.
Enjoyed to have traversed to those beautiful places through your words and lens ! Wish that you get another opportunity to experience the bliss of being in sweet homeland before the present year hands over its torch to the Newer !
Have nice moments of joy, dream and thought in life !
Take care, Celine !
Though i liked the first photo on cricket for all the technical and timing aspects, i cannot stop from choosing the pciture of St. Aloysius Chapel, for the emotional attachment i have with these places around my college. :-)
what beautiful colours I must say...vibrant is the word i think...
Hi Celine! Hope you had a great holiday season (you seem to have got the visa... ;)), and wish you a 2009 much better than we can anticipate and at least as better as if your dreams come true! Health, Peace, and… some money to spend… ;)
As for Blogtrotter, it’s visiting the Red Fort in Delhi, one of your tips, remember? Hope you enjoy and have a great week!
Hi Celine,
Your Virajpet & Madikeri sunset pictures were my favourites. Hope you got your visa. All the best for a great 2009!

Chewy:
Thank you Dar. I particularly like your wishes for many happy travels.:)
Fida,
Not fair? Haha..I was admiring the Christmas plants (Poinsettia) lining the roadside and growing wild all around. At least you succeeded in growing two red flowers. I dunno if you are aware that I have buy every piece of plant here.
I did celebrate Christmas in my own peaceful way, and thank you for your good wishes. I send my compliments of the season over to you and a very happy New Year.:)

Thanks. Now you see how active I can be when on holidays.;)
Ashraf,
It was a beautifully serene and ever slight breezy afternoon of 18 deg C that day. Coorg is a pleasant hill station with good weather through most of the year. It's miles and miles of such scenery as in the picture you liked, so can you imagine how pleasing it is to our eyes.:)
Alok,
Thank you.
You have a wonderful 2009.:)
Saibal,
Thank you for the kind words.:)
I've already made 4 trips to India this year. Thought would get to travel again but it's postponed, so hopefully more in 2009. I wish you happy travels too.
Ajeya,
Thanks. The cricket game picture is a hit. I can understand your sentiments about St. Aloysius:)
