Everyone rushed into their sanctuaries, animals and birds too.
Wind stopped howling.
There was an eerie silence..
for it was time for the clock to strike...
thirteen!

I'm always waiting for the clock to strike thirteen ;-)
It would be a scary moment.
Nice one - well thought out.
Wonder what will happen then..we will never know , will we?
Goody, goody! Does this mean more hours in a day?! LOL
Didn't the clocks strike thirteen in 1984? On the very first page. Eerie Micro.
Run for the hills, the're coming!
Thats very nice! A big twist in a small story. :D
Wonder what striking the number 13 will feel like. I don't think I want to know unless it means more time for me!.
Love your header picture, welcome to MF, we love having you.
I'm following you and I can't wait to come back again!
Great lead in to a chiller story! Good one :O)

Great take on the pic of the day! Scary thought of an extra hour! Hope your week goes well!

It does look deserted, I was wondering why...Thank you for coming over :-)
Unlucky for some! :0
It sure looks deserted, now I know why. Thank you for visiting :-)
Hi Celine, this one makes me think. :)
One extra hour would be like the first day of getting into Daylight Savings Time. Now if there is a fourteen o'clock then they might need better cover than they could ever have.
..
I felt the anxious mood in these lines. Good job!
With numbers that look as if they're interchangeable, that would explain a thing or two. Good one!
Very thought provoking!
If the clock ever strikes 13 I'm heading out of here! I don't like time or #13 :)
As a number 13 hater I protest-LOL!
Fabulous hook! Are you going to turn this into a full-blown novel????
