MicroFiction: When the Clock Strikes

Thanks to Susan for hosting
Microfiction Monday
where a picture paints 140 characters, or even fewer.
Here's this week's picture, and my story below to go with it.
~~~
Everyone rushed into their sanctuaries, animals and birds too.
Wind stopped howling.
There was an eerie silence..
for it was time for the clock to strike...
thirteen!
Wonder what striking the number 13 will feel like. I don't think I want to know unless it means more time for me!.
Love your header picture, welcome to MF, we love having you.
I'm following you and I can't wait to come back again!
Hi Celine, this one makes me think. :)
One extra hour would be like the first day of getting into Daylight Savings Time. Now if there is a fourteen o'clock then they might need better cover than they could ever have.
I felt the anxious mood in these lines. Good job!
With numbers that look as if they're interchangeable, that would explain a thing or two. Good one!
If the clock ever strikes 13 I'm heading out of here! I don't like time or #13 :)
Thanks to each and every one of you who dropped by and left behind words to encourage me with my participation in the Microfiction first time.
It has been fun playing it, and I hope to continue to participate. Your encouragement is sincerely appreciated.
