Haha..thanks. But do not forget the Himalayas is a mountain range of approx 2,400 kms, most of which is inaccessible. This is a teeny weeny glimpse of the mightiness of it all.:)

Celine, the mountains are tranquil for sure..what i meant that there is always a shadow of war or terror in those areas..not so much for tourists maybe, but for the army or border force or the locals..I remember going to Tawang and it was beautiful, but the irony was it had been a battle field as well where lives were lost at one time ..

In fact I recall my conversations particularly with two military personnel, one at Thiksey Monastery, Leh and the other while at Khardung-La (so called highest motorable road in the world) on the way to Nubra Valley, and through the breathtaking beauty of the places, there was an air of melancholy too. So, yea, I understand. War or for that matter, also the threat of one, is dreadful.
Nice poem to match the picture Celine. I can suggest you to write a caption for the picture rather than 'click here' thing because people are used to clicking on pictures anyway :)
I can't wait to go to the mountains. But I must wait for a few months :)

Yes, go to Manali, HP and Leh, Ladakh. It's sure to be a journey that you will cherish all your life.:)
