Twilight

Our human eyes are cool organs. They automatically adjust for changing lighting conditions so effortlessly. We expect the same kind of results from our cameras, but there are times when photography can be tricky. Such as at twilight, for it is that time after the sun sets but before the night sets in fully.

I like to photograph lamps. Visitors frequenting my blog may have figured that out already.

Here are a few shots of a rather dim corner on the beach side at twilight. Photos from Nikon D300. SOOC (straight out of camera).

  8. Your twilight shots turned out very well! I very much like the lights you chose as you main subject with the colourful sky in the background. It is a tricky time of day to take photos, that's for sure.

  9. I love lamps, street lights too.

In fact I am building my collection right now.

However, I don't have anything that is lit. Camera not sophisticated enough to capture it.

  20. I do like this series very, very much. My favorite time of day. Do you shoot RAW format? If so, sometimes the image may be brought much closer to what the eye can see with Fill Light. It works far better than adjusting Curves.
